Still Here: Living with Chronic Illness & Coming Home to Yourself
In 2016, after a kidney biopsy, I was diagnosed with idiopathic Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)—a mouthful of a name for a disease that, at the time, came with a soul-crushing prognosis. The nephrologist told me I had six months to live.
It's 2025. I'm still here.
I'm still in stage one.
And I have never been more alive.
This is not a miracle story. It's a story about reckoning—about cracking open what was buried underneath the diagnosis and letting truth, grief, and identity rise to the surface.
Yes, I took the meds. I did acupuncture, stacked my supplements, moved my body, and journaled like my life depended on it (because it did). But the game-changer was less about fixing my body and more about facing my story.
I had to dig into trauma I thought I had to “tough through.”
I had to set boundaries that cost me relationships.
I had to relearn who I was outside of productivity and pain.
I had to grieve. Not just the diagnosis—but all the versions of me I never got to be.
And now, I offer this space to you.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed and your world is crumbling…
Or you’ve been carrying the weight of chronic illness for years with no one to share it with…
I’m here to walk with you—not as a savior, but as someone who gets it.
Because here’s the hard truth no one wants to say out loud:
Your friends will get tired.
Your family may grow distant.
People will glaze over when you mention another symptom.
Eventually, they’ll only call to check on your illness, not your heart.
That’s where I come in.
Through trauma coaching, I help you process the grief, confusion, rage, and isolation that often comes with a diagnosis. We’ll explore what this means for your identity, your boundaries, and your healing—on every level.
You are not your lab results.
You are not a burden.
You are still worthy of deep conversation, joy, curiosity, and connection.
If you or someone you love is navigating the lonely terrain of chronic illness, let’s talk. I offer a free chemistry session to see if we're a good fit. You don’t have to do this alone. You deserve someone in your corner who can hold space without flinching.
I know the path because I’ve walked it.
And I’m still walking—still healing—still here.
You can be too.
Book a free chemistry test—let’s see if we’re meant to walk this road together.
